A totally unplanned, unscripted, unedited video of a walk I took today along a path called the Bread Walk. The path is named after the bread paid to the men who landscaped it, instead of money. They were paid in bread to ensure their earnings would benefit their families rather than the inns on the way home. The riverside path was created in 1850 during Queen Victoria’s reign.
Work began on the castle's construction in 1085. It’s now basically a ruin, but events are held inside the inner bailey. The owner is the Earl of Powys.
I hope you enjoy this slightly wobbly walk on an overcast Autumn day in Shropshire, mid-England
