I'll be 69 this fall, and in many ways I'm in better shape than I was at 39. I got my cranky knees fixed, I discovered weight training, began twice-weekly swims at our municipal pool, and most of all I married a woman who emphasizes healthy diets, plenty of sleep and yoga. We both took up the study of martial arts and have black belts. (Two for me.) And, yes, the sex is still great. ;) The point is that we need to stay active, both physically and mentally. Ageing will happen; we get one minute older every minute we draw breath. But it doesn't have to be an inevitable decline that ends in a nursing home. I'm following Clint Eastwood's advice: I'm not letting the old man out!
