Particularly as a single woman my friends are central to my life. I care about their welfare and do my upmost to support them, and in return I feel supported. I also find there are times in my life when I feel afraid to embark on a new venture, or I've started on a journey which seems too hard. Then I look at my courageous friends and my resilience against self doubt is strengthened.
Twice in my life I have made the decision to break contacted with a friend whom I had allowed into my inner circle. Ending these relationships was very painful. But these people no longer had my best interests at heart. In both instances I was unwilling to bend my morality to accommodate a fantasy they had incorporated into their identify.
Friends are a support network who help one another live their best life.

Thank you Patricia a lovely post. Friendship is a beautiful thing. I have wonderful friends old & new, from many different parts of my life’s journey. I cherish each of them. It can be very difficult when old friendships break apart and can’t be mended, sometimes due to the interference of others. Friendships can be intense and fleeting, not because of anything bad happening but life getting busier. This applies to many work friendships. Moving to a new village I have made new friends. 😘😘😘

We don’t speak often as she’s lived in ibiza for the past twenty odd years, but she’s the first person I think of when I don’t know who else to turn to. Thank you for recommending my page! 🙏
