I'm a jogger and walker, 65 and have been active all my life.

Love that you are encouraging others to get in some steps. I am aiming for 2025 miles this year, didn't quite reach my 2024 miles last year.

I love having a challenge. It is definitely what keeps me young.

I love backpacking, I've been walking the British coast in sections since 2020 lockdown. I rarely meet other women my age out backpacking, but I do meet plenty of dog walkers and younger runners.

It seems women are the majority of exercisers these days. A hooe for the future.

I agree, Jane, and we older women seem to be setting a trend for ageing differently from the last generation - our parents. Good luck with your own challenge of achieving 2025 miles. Your determination will get you there.

I walk every morning on a treadmill. 5 miles a day. It is what keeps my mind and body healthy.

A daily 5 mile walk? Wow, that is impressive!

I’m retired and have the time. Walked 1,100 miles last year…shooting for 1,500 this year. I love it. Have walked for at least 15 years now.

Thank you for the mention, Patricia!

Walking is definitely part of my routine. Most days I’m up early and out, walking alone, usually through the woods at the end of my road. I love being amongst trees. And I love the quality of the early morning air.

You're welcome, Jane. I, too, love walking in woods and forests. There's something majestic about trees.
