I believe there is great wisdom and value in calling it “staying young” rather than “fighting getting old.”

I do literally everything on your list and have all my life. I'm pushing 80 and in the last year I've noticed that I "walk like that." I'm aware of it and I try to mind my posture all my life but this is the way my body is now and I have to love my body and be in harmony. I never thought I'd be the stereotype but c'est la vie.

Noel, I'm 77 and I'm constantly battling gravity. My body wants to lean forward and does if I'm not thinking about it. I exercise to make myself flexible so I don't become set in that posture but maybe I, too, will have to learn to love and be in harmony with my older person body the way you have, eventiually.

Love this…and learning about pescatarian diet! That’s pretty much me except the dairy… I’m lactose intolerant so use oat, coconut or lactose free products. I need to not sit too long on the cold and blustery days. Grateful I have stairs to go up and down. Thank you for sharing this, my friend… we can never get enough reminders for well being! Aches and pains deminish the more we move! I’m not up to four miles yet, but you give me motivation! 🥰👍👏Great post!

Thanks, Joan. I'm glad you enjoyed the post. You might be interested in the one I'm publishing tomorrow which is aimed at getting us moving in the month when, here in the UK, we just want to hibernate! ;-D

Unfortunately, my mom and my aunt, both in their 80s, "walk like that" because of severe arthritis in their spines. There's not much they could have done to prevent it.
